The California Energy Commission (CEC) has accepted the Discover AES LiFePO4 batteries among the first solutions to be listed on the CEC Energy Storage System (ESS) List.
The Discover AES LiFePO4 batteries are available in 24V and 48V models with 2.8kWh and 6.65kWh nominal capacities respectively.
The CEC ESS List highlights products that meet national safety and performance standards. Ultimately, the list provides information and data to support existing solar incentive programs and utility grid connection services for various users, including consumers, utilities, and state and local programs.
“As Californians are getting used to the new normal of public safety utility power outages, this CEC recognition brings credibility and legitimacy to our products,” said David Norman, VP of Product & Business Development at Discover Battery. “Discover AES LiFePO4 batteries are simply the best lithium battery on the market that, combined with most of the leading inverter/chargers brands, gives home owners the best ROI for their household energy storage solutions.”
Discover AES LiFePO4 batteries are designed for energy storage in off-grid, grid-tie, whole home backup and fossil fuel abatement systems. With Pacific Gas & Electric power outages being the new normal in California, a solar system that incorporates Discover AES LiFePO4 batteries gives homeowners the ability to be energy independent in the event of a planned or unexpected power outage.
